Our Mission

Our mission is to help your horse thrive in and out of the arena. Our tailored treatment and rehabilitation plans aim to alleviate pain, optimize injury recovery and build stronger athletes, so your horse can perform at their best.

How it all started

Meet Riddler! In his early days, he was by all definitions a ‘problematic’ horse. Constantly tense, anxious and stressed, jibbed and reared every ride, always travelled short and was so difficult to engage through the back and hindquarters (despite his talent and potential for power). I would spend a majority of each ride just managing his emotions, a transition in a new spot in the arena would be enough to unsettle him. And taking him out to a clinic or show? Forget it.

Despite so many people around me telling me he was just being naughty, he was ‘too much’ horse for me and he was unsafe and dangerous, I started exploring all possible reasons for his behaviours. I sought out the best professionals I could find to help identify all the issues that were contributing to his behaviours – farrier, saddle and bit fitter, vet, physio and coaches. And *shock horror* as I started making changes to ensure all his tack fit properly and he was sound and pain free, his ‘dangerous’ behaviours started to disappear. I spent months and months ‘rehab riding’ and experiencing the rehab rollercoaster of good rides, bad rides and just plain ugly rides where nothing seemed to go right. It took about 18 months to get everything sorted and get him back to being a strong, happy and healthy horse. But we did it. And his ‘tense and anxious’ personality transformed into a quiet, calm schoolmaster type.

Based on my experience with Riddler, trying to navigate my way through understanding his behaviours and fixing all his problems, I knew that I wanted to be an advocate for all horses. To ditch the narrative of ‘naughty’ horses and harsh punishments. And so, I pursued equine physiotherapy, because I knew I could have the biggest impact on horses by identifying causes of pain, treating it and building rehab programs to develop stronger athletes.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Uni SA in 2018, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2022, and completed my Master’s in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2024. My research study into the treatment and rehabilitation of horses with kissing spine in Australia has been an exciting step forward, which will hopefully be published this year!

Our approach is simple

Get to the root cause of your horse’s pain, injury or behavior and design a tailored rehabilitation program to help them recover. We treat your horse like an athlete, so they comeback stronger after an injury and perform at their best - all in collaboration with your team of farrier, saddle fitter, vet and coach.

Is your horse next? Let’s get started.
